The polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the phosphorylated activation loop residues of three related serine/threonine kinases in the PAK family, allowing researchers to monitor activation-state signaling rather than total protein expression. Raised in rabbit, the reagent is supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum in a vial format intended for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples.

The phospho-epitopes recognized correspond to Ser423 in PAK1, Ser402 in PAK2, and Ser421 in PAK3, all located within the conserved activation loop of the kinase domain. Monitoring these sites is widely used to study cytoskeletal remodeling, MAPK pathway crosstalk, and neuronal signaling, since each PAK isoform contributes to overlapping yet distinct cellular processes including cell migration, focal adhesion turnover, and dendritic spine morphogenesis.

For western blot, the antibody performs well on lysates prepared with phosphatase inhibitors to preserve the labile phospho-epitope, and the unconjugated format gives flexibility to pair with species-matched secondary reagents and chromogenic or chemiluminescent detection chemistries. The reagent is intended for research use only; aliquot upon receipt and store refrigerated to limit freeze-thaw cycles and maintain antibody stability across long-term use.
