Anti-p70 S6K (phospho-T229) Antibody

Offered by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent recognises p70 S6K when phosphorylated at Threonine 229. It has been validated for Western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and it reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The unconjugated antibody was raised against a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human p70 S6K around the phosphorylation site at Thr229. It specifically detects endogenous levels of p70 S6 kinase only when phosphorylated at Thr229, and also recognises p85 S6 kinase when phosphorylated at Thr252.

The antibody is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using epitope-specific immunogen affinity chromatography, with a stated purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. It is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, with observed molecular weights of approximately 59, 70, and 85 kDa.
