Anti-p70 S6K (phospho-S418) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against p70 S6K and specifically recognises the phosphorylated form at Serine 418. It is supplied unconjugated and validated for use in Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, with confirmed reactivity against human, mouse and rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human p70 S6K centred on the Serine 418 phosphorylation site. The antibody detects endogenous levels of p70 S6 kinase only when phosphorylated at Ser418, and additionally recognises p85 S6 kinase when phosphorylated at Ser441. It was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen, with purity greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

The reagent is formulated at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. Recognised bands correspond to approximate molecular weights of 59, 70 and 85 kDa.
