Anti-p57 (D38) Antibody

Produced in rabbit and affinity-purified to recognize the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p57 (also known as CDKN1C or KIP2), this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. It is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples and is routinely used in placental pathology to distinguish complete from partial hydatidiform moles, because villous cytotrophoblast and villous stromal cells in complete moles characteristically lack p57 staining while partial moles retain it. The antibody is provided as a 100 µl vial and should be stored refrigerated in working aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
