The p56Dok-2 docking protein (also called Dok2) operates downstream of receptor and non-receptor tyrosine kinases, transmitting signals that regulate immune cell development, cytoskeletal reorganization, and proliferation. This rabbit polyclonal antibody was raised against an epitope surrounding residue 299 of human p56Dok-2, making it well suited to studies of negative feedback loops in T-cell receptor and B-cell receptor signaling, as well as investigations into the tumor-suppressor role Dok2 plays in certain hematologic malignancies. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µl of affinity-purified antiserum and is recommended for Western blot detection of endogenous human p56Dok-2 in lysates from leukocyte or hematopoietic cell lines, immunohistochemistry on paraffin or frozen tissue sections, and immunofluorescence staining of cultured cells. Because the target is expressed in lymphoid and myeloid lineages, the antibody is also a practical option for researchers tracking Dok family adaptor signaling during leukocyte migration or oncogenic transformation. For best stability, the vial should be refrigerated upon receipt and handled to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is intended for research use only and is validated for human samples.
