Anti-P53 (D43) Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com and distributed through AFMS, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against the tumor suppressor p53 and is epitope-defined by the D43 designation, which corresponds to a synthetic peptide matching amino acids 11–60 of the human protein. The antiserum is affinity-purified by epitope-specific affinity chromatography to greater than 95% purity by SDS-PAGE, allowing it to detect endogenous levels of p53 in human samples. It is supplied at 50 µl, formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is presented as an unconjugated IgG preparation intended for research use only. Validated applications center on immunohistochemistry (IHC), where a working dilution range of roughly 1:50 to 1:200 is recommended for use on paraffin-embedded tissue such as liver carcinoma, with reactivity confirmed specifically for human specimens and a predicted molecular weight of approximately 53 kDa (43 kDa for certain isoforms).
