From the Antibodies.com catalogue, this polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and specifically targets the p53 tumour suppressor, supplied as an unconjugated, liquid-format preparation at the standard 50 µl pack size. Validated for Western Blot (WB) and ELISA workflows, the antibody is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum and is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples, making it a flexible choice for cross-species studies of cellular stress, DNA-damage responses and oncology research. Each lot is provided at approximately 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and the recommended working dilutions are 1:500–1:1,000 for WB and around 1:10,000 for ELISA. The host species is Rabbit, the clonality is Polyclonal, the isotype is IgG, and the conjugate is Unconjugated, allowing straightforward pairing with HRP-, fluorophore- or biotin-labelled secondary antibodies of the user's choice. The target protein, p53 (also known as TP53, Cellular tumor antigen p53, Phosphoprotein p53, NY-CO-13 and Tumor suppressor p53), has a calculated molecular weight near 43–44 kDa and is routinely observed at approximately 53 kDa on Western Blot. For storage, the vial should be kept at –20 °C in aliquots to limit freeze–thaw cycles; short-term handling at 4 °C is acceptable for working stocks, and the reagent is supplied with the brand's standard quality guarantee for research use only.
