Anti-p53 (Acetyl-K386) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against p53 (Acetyl-K386), available from Antibodies.com as a primary antibody for Western blot (WB) application. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. It reacts with human and rat samples and was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human TP53 around the acetylated site of Lys386.

The antibody detects endogenous levels of human p53 protein only when acetylated at Lys386, and also recognises mouse and rat p53 when acetylated at the corresponding residue. The target protein has a molecular weight of approximately 53 kDa. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, with a purity of greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. It has been validated for WB and is accompanied by one scientific validation image.
