The P4HB protein (Prolyl 4-Hydroxylase Subunit Beta, also called Protein Disulfide-Isomerase or PDI) is a multifunctional enzyme located in the endoplasmic reticulum, where it catalyzes the formation and rearrangement of disulfide bonds during nascent protein folding. It also acts as the beta subunit of prolyl 4-hydroxylase, the enzyme responsible for proline hydroxylation during collagen biosynthesis.
This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against P4HB and supplied as an unconjugated preparation in 100 µl volume. It has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows and reacts with the P4HB orthologue in human, mouse, and rat samples. The polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives, supporting detection of P4HB across studies of ER stress, the unfolded protein response, collagen biosynthesis disorders, and tumor microenvironment biology.
