This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the phosphorylated serine 304 residue of p47-phox, the 47 kDa cytosolic organizer subunit of the phagocyte NADPH oxidase complex (also called NCF1). Phosphorylation at S304 lies within the autoinhibitory region of p47-phox and, together with neighboring phospho-sites such as S303 and S310, contributes to relief of intramolecular SH3-domain masking, membrane translocation, and assembly of the active oxidase responsible for superoxide generation during the respiratory burst.

Provided as 100 µl of unconjugated rabbit antiserum at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the reagent is supplied as a ready-to-dilute liquid optimized for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. Reactivity has been demonstrated against human, mouse, and rat samples, making the antibody relevant for comparative studies of neutrophil signaling, oxidative burst kinetics, and chronic granulomatous disease models where NCF1 regulation is of mechanistic interest.

For handling, the vial should be refrigerated; aliquots can be frozen for longer-term storage to preserve phospho-epitope recognition. As with other sodium azide-containing antibody preparations, standard laboratory precautions apply, and the reagent is designated for research use only.
