This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the p47-phox subunit, also known as neutrophil cytosolic factor 1 (NCF1), a cytosolic organizer of the phagocyte NADPH oxidase complex. It was raised in rabbit against an epitope that includes residue P366 of the human protein and is provided as a 50 µl vial of unconjugated IgG at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples. The p47-phox protein normally resides in the cytoplasm of phagocytes and, upon site-specific phosphorylation during cellular activation, translocates to the membrane where it pairs with p67-phox to assemble the active NOX2 (gp91-phox) oxidase complex and drive superoxide generation during the respiratory burst.

Researchers investigating chronic granulomatous disease, innate immune signaling, vascular and renal redox biology, and inflammatory cell activation routinely use this reagent to monitor endogenous p47-phox expression in whole-cell lysates, tissue homogenates, and fixed tissue sections. For storage, keep the vial refrigerated and protect from light, and aliquot if repeated freeze-thaw cycles are anticipated during long-term use.
