Raised in rabbit against a synthetic phosphopeptide epitope flanking residue 345 of human p47phox (also known as NCF1), this polyclonal antibody recognizes the activated, phosphorylated form of the cytosolic NADPH oxidase subunit. Phosphorylation at Ser345 is a key regulatory event that triggers p47phox membrane translocation and assembly of the phagocyte oxidase complex during the respiratory burst, so the reagent is well matched to studies of neutrophil oxidative burst, chronic granulomatous disease, and redox signaling in inflammatory disease models.

Validated by Antibodies.com for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, the unconjugated reagent is supplied as a 100 µL volume of polyclonal antiserum. Researchers apply it to track NADPH oxidase activation kinetics, visualize p47phox phosphorylation in fixed tissue sections, and probe the phosphorylation-dependent conformational changes that expose the tandem SH3 and PX domains responsible for membrane recruitment. Because the antibody selectively reports the phosphorylated pool rather than total p47phox, it is a practical tool for distinguishing primed from resting phagocytes and for monitoring pathway engagement in cell culture and ex vivo samples.
