Stress-Activated Kinase Detection Reagent

The p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascade comprises four stress-responsive serine/threonine isoforms—p38α, p38β, p38γ, and p38δ—that convert extracellular inflammatory cytokines, osmotic shock, and oxidative insults into phosphorylation-driven changes in cytokine production, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. Aberrant pathway activity underlies rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, cardiomyocyte remodeling, and several tumor microenvironments, making reproducible isoform detection central to signaling biology and translational immunology workflows.

This unconjugated recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets p38 and is supplied as a 100 µl vial in TBS buffer (pH 7.4) supplemented with 1% BSA and 40% glycerol, with 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative. The reagent has been validated for western blot analysis of lysates from Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, as well as for immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescence imaging of fixed cell preparations in cell culture.

For routine handling, refrigerate the vial protected from light; aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding affinity through extended western blot and imaging campaigns.
