Anti-P2RX6 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets P2RX6 (P2X purinoceptor 6), a member of the P2X family of ATP-gated cation channels. Supplied as an unconjugated liquid at 200 µl per vial, the antibody is validated for Western blot detection of mouse samples and is used to evaluate P2X6 subunit expression in skeletal muscle and lung tissue, where this receptor is predominantly expressed in the mouse.

P2RX6 differs from most other P2X subunits in that it does not readily form functional homotrimers; instead it traffics to the plasma membrane as a heterotrimeric assembly with P2RX2 or P2RX4 subunits, and a fraction of the pool localizes to the inner nuclear membrane. The mouse protein (UniProt O54803) is 389 amino acids long, and the mature glycosylated form typically migrates near 48-50 kDa on Western blots.

Researchers investigating purinergic signaling, neuropathic pain pathways, chronic airway inflammation, or ATP-mediated calcium influx have applied P2RX6-specific reagents to confirm channel regulation under disease-relevant stimuli.
