The P2X purinoceptor 3 (P2RX3) is an ATP-gated cation channel expressed on a subset of primary afferent sensory neurons, including those in dorsal root and trigeminal ganglia, where it contributes to nociceptive signalling and visceral sensory pathways. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against human P2RX3 and is supplied at 100 µl, formatted for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human tissue samples.

Researchers studying chronic pain mechanisms, bladder afferent hypersensitivity, neurogenic cough, or ion channel expression in sensory ganglia use P2RX3 antibodies to map receptor distribution, validate transcriptomic datasets at the protein level, and characterise models of inflammatory and neuropathic pain. Polyclonal reactivity against human P2RX3 allows recognition of multiple epitopes, which is helpful when probing low-abundance channels in small biopsy samples or in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections.

The antibody is provided without a fluorophore or enzyme label, giving laboratories flexibility to conjugate it to HRP, biotin, or a fluorophore of choice, and to optimise detection chemistry for individual WB or IHC protocols.
