Anti-p22-phox Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets p22-phox (CYBA), the small membrane-bound subunit that heterodimerizes with gp91-phox (NOX2) to form the catalytic core of the phagocyte NADPH oxidase complex. Raised in rabbit, the reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, shipped as a 100 µl vial, and validated for Western blot detection of the human, mouse, and rat proteins.

p22-phox is widely studied as a marker of oxidative stress and superoxide-generating capacity in neutrophils, endothelial cells, and vascular tissue. The antibody is used to probe assembly and membrane trafficking of flavocytochrome b558, to characterize CYBA mutations linked to chronic granulomatous disease, and to quantify NOX2 complex components in models of atherosclerosis, diabetic nephropathy, and ischemia-reperfusion injury. Sodium azide in the storage buffer should be considered when planning conjugation or live-cell workflows, and the unconjugated format allows downstream labeling with HRP, biotin, or fluorophores.
