Anti-p130 Cas (Ab-410) Antibody

p130Cas (BCAR1) is a 130 kDa scaffold adaptor protein central to integrin-mediated signaling, mechanotransduction, and actin cytoskeletal remodeling. Phosphorylation at tyrosine residues within the substrate domain, particularly the YxxP motif cluster flanking Tyr410, generates docking sites for SH2-containing effectors such as Crk and Nck, propagating signals that drive focal adhesion turnover, lamellipodia formation, and directed cell migration. Aberrant p130Cas phosphorylation and overexpression are documented in breast, ovarian, and colorectal tumors, where the protein contributes to invasion, anoikis resistance, and reduced responsiveness to anti-estrogen therapy.

This polyclonal reagent was raised in rabbit against an epitope corresponding to a region surrounding residue 410 of human p130Cas, enabling selective detection of the endogenous protein in denatured western blot lysates and in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. The antibody is supplied from Antibodies.com as a 100 µl vial of unconjugated antiserum validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human and mouse samples.
