Raised in rabbit against the G78 epitope region of human P-Cadherin, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody supplied by Antibodies.com is delivered as 50 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2) containing 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. Validated applications include western blot analysis of cell and tissue lysates and immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections, enabling visualization of endogenous cadherin from human, mouse, and rat samples.

P-Cadherin (CDH3) is a calcium-dependent transmembrane glycoprotein of the classical cadherin family that mediates homophilic cell-cell adhesion in epithelial layers. Investigators apply anti-P-Cadherin antibodies to map its expression across skin, placenta, and mammary gland, and in epithelial tumors—particularly basal-like and triple-negative breast cancer, where P-Cadherin serves as a stratification marker and candidate therapeutic target. The reagent is also used to study epithelial-mesenchymal transition, wound re-epithelialization, and the identity of stem-cell compartments.

For day-to-day handling, keep the vial refrigerated and shielded from light; for longer-term storage, aliquot the preparation and freeze to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Because the buffer contains sodium azide, the reagent is not directly suitable for live-cell labeling or in vivo administration—dialyze or buffer-exchange into azide-free medium if those workflows are required. Each pack contains one 50 µl vial, enough for multiple western blot membranes or several dozen immunohistochemistry slides depending on working dilution.
