Osteopontin (OPN), also called secreted phosphoprotein 1 (SPP1), is a multifunctional glycoprotein that binds integrins and CD44 to regulate cell adhesion, matrix remodeling, immune cell recruitment, and bone turnover. It is frequently investigated in cancer metastasis, renal fibrosis, vascular calcification, and wound healing research. This unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes human osteopontin and is intended for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows, allowing labs to probe endogenous OPN expression in cultured cells, tissue sections, and protein lysates without an attached reporter label.

The reagent is supplied as a 100 µl vial of liquid, with the unconjugated format giving researchers flexibility to conjugate it to HRP, biotin, or fluorophores of their choice. Host is Mouse, clonality is Monoclonal, conjugate is Unconjugated, and reactivity is Human. For handling, refrigerate the vial short term; for longer projects, aliquot and store frozen, protecting from light and avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
