This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against an epitope mapping near residue F118 of human OSR2 (odd-skipped related transcription factor 2), a zinc-finger protein with characterized roles in craniofacial, dental, and skeletal morphogenesis. The reagent is validated for western blot detection of endogenous OSR2 in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative expression studies across these three species.

It is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, pH approximately 7.2, in a 50 µl vial sufficient for multiple western blot experiments depending on working dilution. The unconjugated format gives laboratories flexibility to pair the antibody with their own HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugation chemistry. For routine use, refrigerate at 4 °C; for longer term storage, aliquot the solution and freeze at -20 °C, limiting freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. Sodium azide is included as a microbial preservative.

OSR2 has documented importance in palate development and tooth formation signaling, and investigators probing these developmental pathways commonly use western blot on tissue lysates or cultured cell extracts. The polyclonal origin of this reagent permits recognition of multiple epitopes on the target protein, which can be advantageous where post-translational modification or partial proteolysis might mask a single linear determinant.
