Anti-OSM Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against Oncostatin M (OSM). It is supplied as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide, and is of the IgG isotype, unconjugated and affinity purified.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 26–252 of human Oncostatin M (NP_065391.1). The target has a molecular weight of 28 kDa. Manufacturer and third-party specifications indicate reactivity with human, mouse and rat samples.

Validated applications include Western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF). Recommended dilutions are WB at 1:500–1:2,000 and ICC/IF at 1:50–1:200. In referenced Western blot work, lysates were loaded at 25 µg per lane with a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) secondary antibody at 1:10,000, using 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST as blocking buffer and an ECL Enhanced Kit for detection. Immunofluorescence images show staining of C6 and L-929 cells at 1:100 dilution with DAPI nuclear counterstain. The reagent is shipped at 4°C; upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. For research use only.
