Anti-ORC3 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against human ORC3, this polyclonal primary antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µl of liquid at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3. The unconjugated format allows pairing with any user-preferred secondary antibody and detection system.

ORC3 (Origin Recognition Complex Subunit 3) is one of six subunits that form the Origin Recognition Complex, the multi-protein assembly that binds replication origins and licenses loading of the MCM2-7 helicase during late mitosis and G1. The protein migrates at approximately 82 kDa on SDS-PAGE. Loss-of-function variants in ORC3 cause Meier-Gorlin syndrome, a rare form of microcephalic primordial dwarfism, while altered ORC3 expression has been reported in studies of replication stress and tumor biology.

Validated by the supplier for Western blot, this reagent detects endogenous ORC3 in lysates derived from human, mouse, and rat samples. As a polyclonal reagent it recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, which can be advantageous when probing denatured protein on standard immunoblots. Recommended handling includes brief equilibration to room temperature before use, returning the vial to refrigeration promptly afterward, and aliquoting to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the stock solution.
