ORC1 (Origin Recognition Complex Subunit 1) is a critical component of the six-subunit origin recognition complex that marks replication origins and licenses DNA replication during the G1 phase of the cell cycle. Disruption of ORC1 function is linked to Meier-Gorlin syndrome and several cancer phenotypes, making it a target of interest for cell cycle, DNA replication, and genome stability studies.
Antibodies.com offers a polyclonal antibody to ORC1 raised in rabbit, unconjugated and supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. The antibody is validated for western blot (WB) applications and detects endogenous ORC1 in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative replication biology and chromatin studies across these model species.
For handling, refrigerate the antibody in its supplied formulation to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles; aliquot upon first use if extended storage is planned. This reagent is intended for research use only.
