Olfactory Receptor Family 4 Subfamily B Member 1 (OR4B1) is a seven-transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor encoded within the human olfactory receptor gene cluster, and this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com provides a validated tool for its detection in research samples. Raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of liquid at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, the unconjugated primary antibody is ready for direct labeling or use in standard immunoblotting workflows.

Validated for Western blot, the reagent recognizes the target in samples from human, mouse, and rat. OR4B1 is best characterized for its contribution to odorant detection in chemosensory neurons of the nasal olfactory epithelium, and is increasingly studied for ectopic expression in non-olfactory tissues where GPCR signaling is under investigation. Researchers typically apply 1–5 µg/ml to membrane-enriched lysates and detect the protein near its predicted molecular weight.

Each vial should be stored at 4 °C for short-term use, with long-term storage at –20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Sodium azide is included as a preservative; downstream applications sensitive to azide should use a buffer-exchanged preparation. The product is intended for research use only and is supplied under the Antibodies.com quality program for primary antibody reagents.
