OR2V2 is a member of the olfactory receptor gene family that encodes G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) involved in odorant recognition within the olfactory epithelium. This polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, in a 100 µL vial.

Validated for Western Blot, the reagent detects the OR2V2 target in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies of chemosensory receptor expression across species. The polyclonal host response yields antibodies that recognize multiple epitopes on the target, which can improve signal consistency in denatured lysate workflows. Researchers studying olfactory tissue transcriptomics, GPCR signaling pathways, or sensory neuroscience apply this reagent to membrane and whole-cell lysate preparations.

For short-term use, store the vial at 4°C; for extended storage, aliquot and freeze to preserve antibody activity. Sodium azide is included as a preservative to prevent microbial growth. Each preparation from Antibodies.com is intended for research use only and should be handled using appropriate laboratory safety practices.
