Raised in rabbit against the Rho-GTPase-activating protein OPHN1 (Oligophrenin 1), this polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 100 µl vial of unconjugated IgG for Western blot detection of endogenous OPHN1 in human, mouse, and rat samples. OPHN1 is best known for its role in X-linked intellectual disability, where loss-of-function mutations disrupt Rho GTPase signaling, dendritic spine morphogenesis, and synaptic vesicle endocytosis in neurons. Researchers studying neurodevelopmental disorders, synaptic plasticity, and actin cytoskeleton dynamics use this reagent to characterize OPHN1 expression in cell and tissue lysates, including hippocampal and cerebellar regions where the protein is normally enriched. The unconjugated format enables flexible pairing with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies, and the polyclonal mix provides broad epitope coverage for tracking full-length OPHN1 as well as isoforms generated by alternative splicing.
