Anti-OPA1 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against OPA1 (Optic atrophy protein 1), a mitochondrial dynamin-like GTPase also known as KIAA0567. The reagent is supplied as a 50 µl liquid at a working concentration of 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2) containing 15 mM sodium azide as preservative, and is recommended for Western blot (WB) applications. It is unconjugated, of polyclonal clonality (IgG), and is hosted in rabbit. The antibody has been validated to react with Human, Mouse and Rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species mitochondrial research, and detects the endogenous target in the expected 80–100 kDa molecular weight range observed for OPA1 isoforms. Upon arrival, the vial should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve antibody activity, and short-term handling at 4 °C is acceptable.
