Op18, also known as Stathmin 1, is a microtubule-destabilizing phosphoprotein involved in cell cycle regulation and mitotic spindle assembly. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and recognizes the human, mouse, rat, and monkey forms of the target, making it a broadly applicable reagent for comparative oncology and developmental biology studies. Researchers apply it in western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows to monitor Op18 expression and phosphorylation state in tumor cell lines, primary tissue specimens, and fixed sections.
The unconjugated format leaves downstream labeling chemistry open for the user, and the 100 µl volume supports dozens of immunoblots or multiple staining runs depending on dilution. Because Op18 levels are frequently elevated in proliferating and neoplastic cells, this antibody supports investigation of mitotic regulation, cancer progression biomarkers, and signal transduction pathways that govern microtubule dynamics during cell division.
