Anti-Op18 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against Op18 (also known as Stathmin) and is supplied at a working concentration of 1 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume. The antibody is unconjugated and detects endogenous levels of Op18 protein, having been raised against a synthetic peptide derived from the human Op18 sequence flanking the non-phosphorylation site of serine 25, then affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography. It is formulated as a liquid in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, shipped at 4 °C, and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon arrival with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. The reagent is validated for ELISA, Western blotting (WB), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and cross-reacts with samples from human, mouse and rat origin, making it suitable for a wide range of cell biology and neurobiology workflows. As a polyclonal product, the preparation contains a mixture of rabbit immunoglobulin isotypes rather than a single defined clone, which can be advantageous when probing for the native conformation or multiple epitopes of the Op18 target.
