Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this A39274 reagent is an affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against a synthesized peptide derived from the C-terminal region of human Olfactory receptor 4K14. The antibody is provided as an unconjugated liquid formulation at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and is dispensed in a 50 µL volume suitable for multiple experimental runs. It is validated for Western blot (WB), immunofluorescence (IF) and ELISA applications and reacts specifically with human samples, where it detects endogenous levels of the Olfactory receptor 4K14 target. The polyclonal host species is rabbit, and purification is performed by affinity chromatography against the epitope-specific immunogen to reduce non-specific background. For best stability, the product should be stored at −20 °C, where it remains suitable for use for up to one year from the date of receipt. This preparation is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, making it appropriate for academic and industrial laboratories studying OR4K14 expression in cell lysates such as HUVEC or in fixed cells probed for olfactory receptor localization. Combining WB, IF and ELISA compatibility in a single antibody lot allows researchers to confirm expression at the transcript-protein level and at the subcellular level using the same reagent, while the unconjugated format leaves open the possibility of downstream labelling with secondary antibodies of the investigator's choice.
