Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody targets OGDH, the E1 subunit of the mitochondrial 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex that catalyzes oxidative decarboxylation of alpha-ketoglutarate to succinyl-CoA in the TCA cycle. Supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the reagent is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples. The 50% glycerol formulation supports storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw damage, and the included sodium azide protects against microbial contamination during repeated use in routine immunolabeling workflows. Because OGDH expression and regulation are widely studied in cancer metabolism, neurodegeneration, and mitochondrial disease research, the antibody is used in projects probing TCA cycle flux, complex assembly with dihydrolipoamide succinyltransferase, and cellular responses to nutrient or oxidative stress in cell and tissue lysates.
