Anti-OCT3 Antibody

A polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targeting the organic cation transporter OCT3 (SLC22A3), an SLC22-family membrane protein that mediates uptake of endogenous amines and xenobiotic cations across the plasma membrane. The reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied at 50 µl as an unconjugated, affinity-purified IgG preparation suitable for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows.

The antibody has been validated on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species studies of OCT3 expression in placenta, heart, brain, liver, and kidney tissue, where the transporter contributes to clearance of monoamine neurotransmitters, corticosteroid handling, and cellular uptake of cationic drugs such as metformin and platinum chemotherapeutics. Researchers commonly apply the reagent to membrane-enriched fractions for immunoblotting and to formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections for IHC, where it produces cytoplasmic and membranous staining consistent with the transporter's plasma membrane localization.
