Anti-OCT2 Antibody

The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent is a rabbit-derived primary antibody raised against the organic cation transporter OCT2 (gene symbol SLC22A2), a polyspecific membrane protein expressed on renal proximal tubule cells and several non-renal tissues that mediates uptake of endogenous amines and many cationic pharmaceuticals. The unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) applications and cross-reacts with mouse and rat orthologues alongside its primary human reactivity, supporting comparative studies of drug handling, tubular physiology, and transporter regulation across species. Each vial is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal serum intended for use as a primary antibody on fixed cells, tissue cryosections, or membrane-enriched lysates prepared from kidney, liver, placenta, or brain; for best results, aliquot upon receipt and refrigerate, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve immunoreactivity.
