Anti-OCT1 Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com as a polyclonal rabbit reagent, this antibody recognizes organic cation transporter 1 (SLC22A1), a polyspecific twelve-transmembrane protein expressed on the basolateral membrane of hepatocytes. OCT1 governs hepatic uptake of thiamine and acetylcholine and dictates plasma clearance of cationic drugs including metformin, sumatriptan, and several tyrosine kinase inhibitors, making it a central focus of pharmacogenomic research into transporter-mediated drug responses.

Supplied as a 100 µl aliquot of unconjugated polyclonal serum, the antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat OCT1, supporting cross-species work on hepatic drug disposition, transporter regulation in metabolic disease models, and SLC22A1 polymorphism screens.
