Anti-OCRL Antibody

Polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit targets the OCRL inositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatase and is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated, affinity-purified antibody for Western blot detection of the ~104 kDa OCRL-1 protein in human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 1-220 of human OCRL (NP_001578.2), and the reagent is knockout-validated against OCRL-knockout 293T cells, where the expected band is absent in KO lysates run side-by-side with wild-type controls at 1:1,000 dilution.

The recommended working range is 1:500-1:2,000 for Western blot, typically paired with an HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG secondary at 1:10,000 and chemiluminescent detection on 25 µg of total lysate per lane, blocked in 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST.

For storage, keep the vial at -20°C and limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting on first thaw. The antibody is a practical tool for phosphoinositide-metabolism studies of Lowe syndrome, ciliopathy models, and subcellular fractionation of trans-Golgi and early endosomal compartments in patient-derived fibroblasts or renal proximal tubule cells.
