Anti-OCLN Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody recognizes OCLN, the ~59–65 kDa integral membrane protein that forms the backbone of epithelial and endothelial tight junctions. Supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent in a 200 µl vial, it is validated for Western blot detection of occludin in human and mouse samples. Researchers use it to probe barrier integrity in models ranging from intestinal epithelial monolayers to blood-brain barrier studies, and to track tight junction disassembly under inflammatory or oxidative challenge.

Store the antibody refrigerated at 4°C for short-term use, or freeze at -20°C in working aliquots to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles; protect from light and avoid repeated freeze-thaw of the stock. The polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal clone, useful when surveying occludin isoforms, post-translational modifications such as phosphorylation, or degradation fragments in cell lysate and tissue homogenate workflows.
