Anti-OCA2 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against the human OCA2 protein (also known as D15S12, Melanocyte-specific transporter protein, P, or Pink-eyed dilution protein homolog) and was generated using a recombinant human OCA2 immunogen, then affinity-purified to enrich for target-specific immunoglobulin. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and it belongs to the IgG isotype class. Validated applications include Western blot and immunohistochemistry, where it specifically recognizes the endogenous total OCA2 protein in human (and, according to the supplier's reactivity statement, mouse) samples. For best stability, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon arrival, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided. Intended strictly for research use, this polyclonal OCA2 antibody is well suited to laboratories investigating melanosomal biogenesis, pigmentation pathways and oculocutaneous albinism type II.
