The OAZ3 gene encodes ornithine decarboxylase antizyme 3, a regulator of polyamine biosynthesis that is predominantly expressed in testicular tissue. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the human OAZ3 target and has been validated for Western blot on samples from human, mouse, and rat origin. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, ready for dilution into standard immunoblotting workflows. Store at -20°C, and aliquot upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity. OAZ3 controls cellular polyamine levels by inhibiting ornithine decarboxylase through a conserved ribosomal frameshifting mechanism, and investigators studying spermatogenesis, germ cell maturation, or polyamine-dependent signaling commonly deploy this reagent to probe endogenous expression patterns in testis lysates and transfected cell models. Cross-reactivity with mouse and rat orthologs is indicated by the reactivity profile, while the polyclonal format offers multiple epitope recognition for robust detection. Research use only.
