The OASL protein belongs to the 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthetase family, key effectors of the innate antiviral response induced by type I interferons. Unlike the catalytically active OAS1, OAS2, and OAS3 enzymes, OASL lacks 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthetase enzymatic activity but amplifies interferon signaling through direct interaction with RIG-I, strengthening the cellular response to viral RNA.
This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the human OASL target and validated for Western Blot application. The unconjugated IgG antibody is supplied at 50 µl, allowing flexible secondary antibody detection. The reagent is specific to human OASL and supports research on innate immunity, interferon signaling, and antiviral host defense pathways.
For optimal performance, store the vial refrigerated and protect from light. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by preparing working aliquots, preserving antibody stability across multiple experiments.
