The 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 2 (OAS2) protein is an interferon-induced enzyme central to the innate antiviral defense pathway. When viral double-stranded RNA is detected in the cytoplasm, OAS2 catalyzes the synthesis of 2',5'-linked oligoadenylates that activate latent RNase L, triggering cleavage of viral and cellular RNA. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and recognizes the human OAS2 protein, supporting Western blot and ELISA workflows in immunology, cell signaling, and virology research. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, allowing flexibility in downstream labeling or secondary detection strategies.
