O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) is the conserved enzyme that installs O-linked N-acetylglucosamine modifications on serine and threonine residues of nuclear, cytoplasmic, and mitochondrial substrates, coupling nutrient flux through the hexosamine biosynthetic pathway to signaling, transcription, and proteostasis. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against the human OGT protein and is supplied as an unconjugated antibody in a 100 µl volume, ready for use in western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples. The polyclonal format broadens epitope coverage across the full-length target, which is useful when monitoring isoform-specific abundance (ncOGT, mOGT, and sOGT) or tracking OGT expression in fixed tissue sections, cultured cell lines, and patient-derived material relevant to studies of metabolic disease, cancer, and neurodegeneration. For western blot, expected band sizes align with the three major OGT isoforms; immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry allow subcellular localization of OGT in fixed cells and tissues.
