The Antibodies.com Anti-Nucleobindin 2 Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent supplied as a 100 µg liquid aliquot in a vial, validated for western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and electron microscopy across mouse, rat, and human samples. Nucleobindin 2 (NUCB2) is a calcium-binding EF-hand protein of approximately 50 kDa that localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, where it is cleaved by prohormone convertases to generate the anorexigenic peptide Nesfatin-1, linking it to studies of appetite regulation, energy homeostasis, and glucose metabolism. The unconjugated format supports chromogenic, fluorescence, and electron-dense detection workflows, and researchers use this reagent to map NUCB2 and Nesfatin-1 expression in hypothalamic neurons, pancreatic islet beta cells, gastric mucosa, and adipose tissue. To preserve antibody activity, store the vial at -20 °C and divide into single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles across the reagent's shelf life.
