Raised against neurotrophic receptor tyrosine kinase 3 (TrkC), the high-affinity neurotrophin-3 receptor, this rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antisera validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat samples.

NTRK3 signaling governs neuronal survival, axon outgrowth, and synaptic plasticity during nervous system development, and somatic rearrangements that fuse the NTRK3 kinase domain to partner genes (for example ETV6-NTRK3 in secretory breast carcinoma, infantile fibrosarcoma, and congenital mesoblastic nephroma, or TPM3-NTRK3 in papillary thyroid tumors) drive ligand-independent receptor activation and have become important diagnostic markers in precision oncology. The unconjugated format allows researchers to pair this reagent with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-labeled secondary antibodies for chromogenic DAB detection, indirect fluorescence, or tyramide signal amplification across standard experimental pipelines.

As a polyclonal reagent, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes within the TrkC receptor, which can be advantageous when probing for oncogenic fusion variants that retain the intracellular kinase domain but lack portions of the extracellular region detected by some monoclonal clones. Suggested handling: store refrigerated, protect from light, and aliquot upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles; for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, heat-induced epitope retrieval in citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is commonly used prior to overnight primary incubation.
