Raised in rabbit and purified by affinity chromatography, this polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is directed against NTR1 (Neurotensin receptor type 1, also known as NTSR1/NTRH), the high-affinity G protein-coupled receptor that mediates the intracellular signalling of neurotensin. The immunogen used was recombinant full-length human NTR1, and the resulting antiserum was epitope-affinity purified to a purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE, ensuring strong and selective recognition of endogenous NTR1 protein. Each vial is supplied at 50 µl with a liquid formulation of 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, and the antibody is provided unconjugated with no fluorophore or enzyme tag attached. Validated application is Western blotting (WB), where the reagent detects NTR1 at an expected molecular weight of approximately 36 kDa, making it suitable for studies of neurotensin signalling in human samples. Reactivity has been confirmed for human, while cross-reactivity with other species has not been established. As a polyclonal reagent, it contains a heterogeneous population of immunoglobulins recognising multiple epitopes on the target, which can be advantageous for detecting the receptor under varied sample-preparation conditions. The product is intended for research use only and is shipped with insulated cold-pack packaging to preserve activity in transit; on receipt, it should be stored according to the accompanying datasheet. Polyclonal host, unconjugated format, and human reactivity make this Anti-NTR1 Antibody a reliable tool for laboratories investigating neurotensin receptor biology in cell-line and tissue-based Western blot workflows.
