Anti-NTPCR Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against NTPCR, supplied unconjugated for use in western blotting (WB). It is reactive with human, rat and mouse samples, and the antibody detects endogenous levels of NTPCR protein.

The reagent was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 145–189 of human NTPCR and is formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.3. It has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, with purity reported as > 95% (by SDS-PAGE). The expected molecular weight of the target is ~ 21 kDa, and the product is supplied with one scientific validation image.

NTPCR, also known as C1orf57 and with mouse homolog 2310079N02Rik, belongs to the THEP1 NTPase family. The 190 amino acid protein has nucleotide phosphatase activity towards ATP, GTP, TTP, CTP and UTP, acts as a monomer, and also hydrolyses nucleoside diphosphates with lower efficiency. The encoding gene maps to human chromosome 1, which spans about 260 million base pairs and makes up 8% of the human genome, and contains about 3,000 genes.
