Anti-NTM Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied under the Antibodies.com brand, with the manufacturer datasheet published by Abclonal. The reagent is unconjugated, of the IgG isotype, raised in rabbit and purified by affinity chromatography. It has been validated for Western blot, immunofluorescence/immunocytochemistry (IF/ICC) and ELISA, with cross-reactivity reported against human, mouse and rat samples. Suggested working dilutions are 1:1000–1:5000 for Western blot and 1:50–1:200 for IF/ICC; for ELISA a starting concentration of 1 μg/mL is recommended. The antibody is supplied in PBS buffer containing 50% glycerol, preserved with proclin300 or sodium azide at pH 7.3, and should be stored at -20°C, protected from repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

The antibody recognises MCU (Mitochondrial Calcium Uniporter), also referenced by the synonyms HsMCU, C10orf42 and CCDC109A. MCU is an integral component of the mitochondrial inner membrane and contributes to calcium channel activity, identical protein binding activity and uniporter activity as part of the uniplex complex. On Western blot the antibody resolves a band at an observed molecular weight of 35 kDa, compared with a calculated molecular weight of 40 kDa.
