This Mouse IgM monoclonal antibody, clone 1G6, targets Neuron-Specific Enolase (NSE), the gamma-enolase isoenzyme (ENO2) used in research and clinical investigation as a marker of neuronal and neuroendocrine tissue. Produced by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody reagent, it was raised against the human NSE antigen and is supplied at 100 µg in lyophilised form, reconstituted in buffer before use. The unconjugated format gives laboratories flexibility to couple the antibody to HRP, biotin, or a fluorophore according to their assay design, and the IgM heavy-chain isotype is relevant when selecting secondary reagents and planning isotype-specific adsorption controls.

NSE is a cytosolic glycolytic enzyme expressed in mature neurons and in cells of the diffuse neuroendocrine system, and circulating NSE concentrations are monitored in studies of small cell lung carcinoma, neuroblastoma, medullary thyroid carcinoma, and traumatic or ischaemic brain injury. The 1G6 clone is reported as reactive with human NSE, the species most relevant to clinical biomarker measurement, and the reagent is intended for ELISA workflows and supporting characterisation work in vitro. Reconstituted material should be kept refrigerated and shielded from light to preserve binding activity across freeze-thaw cycles; the lyophilised vial is shipped in a sealed container and remains stable at refrigerator temperature until the printed expiry date.
