Anti-Nrf2 / NFE2L2 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the transcription factor Nrf2, also known as NFE2L2 (Nuclear Factor, Erythroid 2 Like 2), this unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. Nrf2 is the master regulator of the cellular antioxidant response: under basal conditions it is held in the cytoplasm by Keap1, but oxidative or electrophilic stress releases it to translocate into the nucleus, where it dimerizes with small Maf proteins and activates transcription through antioxidant response elements (AREs) of detoxifying and cytoprotective target genes such as NQO1, HMOX1, and multiple glutathione S-transferases.
