This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets Nrf2 (Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2, encoded by NFE2L2), a cap'n'collar basic leucine zipper transcription factor that drives the cellular antioxidant defense program. Each vial contains 100 µL of unconjugated antisera validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows, with confirmed reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples.

Nrf2 normally resides in the cytoplasm bound to KEAP1 and is liberated under oxidative or electrophilic stress to translocate into the nucleus, where it heterodimerizes with small Maf proteins and binds antioxidant response elements (ARE/EpRE) in promoters of phase II detoxification and cytoprotective genes such as NQO1, HMOX1, and components of the glutathione pathway. Polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes across the protein makes this reagent useful for monitoring total Nrf2 abundance, subcellular redistribution after stress exposure, and altered pathway activity associated with carcinogenesis, neurodegeneration, inflammatory disease, and chemical toxicity studies.

The unconjugated format gives researchers flexibility to pair the primary with their own HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-conjugated secondary reagents. Store refrigerated and protect from light; aliquot on first use to minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Intended for research use only.
