The nuclear transcription factor NRF1 (Nuclear Respiratory Factor 1) is a master regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis and respiratory gene expression, and this rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against it for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) detection across human, mouse, and rat samples.

NRF1 drives transcription of nuclear-encoded mitochondrial proteins involved in oxidative phosphorylation, mtDNA replication, and heme biosynthesis, and it cooperates with the coactivator PGC-1α to couple cellular energy demand to mitochondrial expansion. Investigators apply this unconjugated reagent to study mitochondrial biogenesis programs, metabolic stress responses, cancer metabolism, neurodegeneration, and exercise-induced mitochondrial adaptation. Polyclonal reactivity across multiple NRF1 epitopes supports detection of full-length protein and major isoforms in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections.

Provided as a 100 µl liquid in a standard vial, the antibody should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C; repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided to preserve binding activity. Intended for research use only, the reagent is supplied unconjugated and works in chromogenic and fluorescent WB and IHC workflows across the listed species.
